Most of us are trying to cut back on plastics – disposable plastics at the very least. However, despite your best efforts, you probably still have a few plastic bottles in your grocery shopping and so on.

Sure, you can recycle them, but how about trying to use a few around your home and garden? Recycle any old plastic bottles you don’t repurpose or reuse, and have fun with these ideas!

We shared the story about the Ecobricks initiative recently, and we’re excited to talk about another awesome way of using some of the millions of plastic bottles that otherwise would be headed to landfill: plastic bottle greenhouses.

It seems the more questions answered about ionized alkaline water, the more questions asked. To begin with, several people wanted to know about the cost of drinking alkaline water, and if it was really worth it.  The answer to the latter part of that question is yes, it is absolutely worth it. Not only is water from a water ionizer far superior to tap and bottled drinking water on every level (including price at about 6¢ a glass!), but because of the incredible amount of pollution and litter bottled water generates.
